The Blazer dual purpose smoke curtain, designed and manufactured by Ventrite International offers a patented design to provide for maximum smoke resistance and smoke isolation in fire conditions. The curtain material is composed of a unique stainless steel wire reinforced, woven fibreglass fabric. This is enclosed within a motorised curtain housing assembly and deploys by means of steel guide rails to the closed position, where it is then held in place by a patented locking device. This provides a smoke resistant barrier and limits smoke build-up to within the compartmented rooms. In combination with other fire safety installations, this will significantly assist with maintaining the integrity of emergency escape routes and limiting fire spread. The Blazer can be manufactured to suit most common opening sizes, making the product one of the most effective and versatile methods of smoke isolation currently available.
